Use this as a guide, table of contents, or print it out and use as a checklist to manually keep track of progress through the course. Required activities are marked with a star and must be completed and reviewed by a trainer, coach or administrator. Within the Preschool Safe Environments course you will learn about:
- The significance of providing safe toys and materials for preschoolers’ development and learning
- The ways in which you can design safe environments and experiences for your classroom and program
- How to promote safety through ratios and proper supervision practices
- How to promote safe sleep practices for preschool age children
- The importance of child abuse knowledge, identification, prevention and reporting
- How to prepare for emergencies and respond to injuries in your classroom and program
- Special considerations for trips away from your program and the importance of vehicle safety
