Required activities are marked with a star and must be completed and reviewed by a trainer, coach or administrator. Within the Infants & Toddlers Child Abuse: Prevention course you will learn about:
- Learn specific strategies to prevent child abuse and neglect in center settings by promoting protective factors in yourself and others
- Describe developmental milestones and use that information every day to help you make decisions and share your knowledge with families and co-workers
- Use strategies to promote social and emotional development in children
- Adopt a positive approach to child guidance and discipline. Use positive strategies that build relationships and promote a peaceful classroom and program
- Tour your facility paying special attention to environmental features that help prevent child abuse and neglect
