Think about ways to share what you learned in this lesson with families and ways to engage them in their child’s creative exploration. Below are possible ideas to try. Choose one of the activities listed or come up with your own. Then, share and discuss your idea with a trainer, coach, or administrator.

• Create a letter to families asking them about their infant or toddler’s creativity. For example, ask families:
  • What are your child’s favorite objects to explore?
  • What toys interest your child and keep him or her engaged?
  • How do you support your child’s curiosity and keep him or her safe at the same time?
• Ask families to share their favorite music, infant and toddler books, stories, artwork, or instrument that will help encourage infant and toddler exploration and experimentation.
• Take pictures of infants and toddlers exploring and experimenting. Write a caption or share an observation along with the picture and pass it along to the infant’s or toddler’s family.
• Ask families to donate items for homemade instruments, for example, plastic water bottles, plastic yogurt containers, plastic spice containers, and paper towel tubes.
