Imagine a new infant or toddler will join your classroom in the coming weeks. Make a list of all the things you would like to know about the child and learn from their family. After you have made your list, talk to your co-workers. Ask them what kinds of things they would like to know about a child and their family in order to provide the best care for a child who is new to your program. Create a questionnaire to help you and other caregivers capture this information. Talk to your trainer, coach, or administrator to determine whether any of the questions you or your coworkers uncover might be added to your program’s enrollment forms.
